Get Twysted - A Natural Hair Salon was born out of my love for children and the need to educate and show children how to be proud of whatever texture their hair may be.

I love working with children ages 3 through high school, with this age group they battle with creating their own self image and I help to make that possible.

A large majority of the kids I service are kids who have been coming to me since they were in grade school  I look for clients who I can form a long trusting relationship. 

At Get Twysted attention is payed to hair care and less to hairstyles. Children suffering from any type of hair stresses, i,e..fading/thinning temples, brittle/damaged hair will not receive cornrow or extension services. 

Cornrows, extensions (especially when small) causes tension to scalp and may stunt hair growth, especially at take down time. Two strand twyst, coiling & natural box braids are ideal. There is little tension from beginning to end. Over all scalp and hair will be happy and healthy. 

When your hair looks good you feel good. This is true whether you're 5 or 55. Finding a stylist that specializes in natural hair care is almost non-existent in our area. Although creating cute designs is a plus a professional stylist should possess the knowledge needed for those clients who from time to time may experience any number of tension/stresses that come along with any styling techniques.

• A consultation is a must before an appointment can be made.
• Each consult is approximately 20min.
• I reserve the right to refuse service at the end of a consultation or at any number of visits.
• At the end of the consultation stylist & guest must be on the same page as to what style fits best.
• The styling process should be enjoyable for both stylist & guest.
• Guest must trust stylist to create a style that is complimentary to his/her hair texture & facial dynamics.
• Hair styles from magazines etc.; can be used as a point of reference but not as a source to duplicate.
